he roots of Keep Maine Green are entwined inseparably with the volunteer spirit.  We have lived in every corner of the world, from the Amazon to the Middle East.  We’ve eaten filafel in Tel Aviv, shwarma in Eilat looking across the Red Sea at Jordan, fresh fish off the coast of Ecuador near the Galapagos Islands, armadillo in the Amazon Rain Forest, and other creatures and critters that would make Andrew Zimmern proud.  One thing we love though is to hear stories other then our own.  We’d like to create a section here on KMG for you; the Peace Corps volunteers, voluntourists, conservationists, environmentalists, and anyone else who shares a passion for protecting the environment and traveling locally and abroad.  Let’s share our personal journeys and adventures and hopefully inspire in others similar passions and desires.
